Erika Kirk to Attend State of the Union as President Trump’s Guest Amid Call to Reject Political Violence

Erika Kirk, widow of the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has been invited to the State of the Union address as a special guest of President Donald Trump, Turning Point USA confirmed Tuesday.

Kirk will be seated in the audience during the speech, representing not just her own resilience but a broader call from the White House for lawmakers to “firmly reject political violence against our fellow citizens.”

Charlie Kirk — who cofounded the influential conservative youth organization Turning Point USA — was tragically assassinated in September 2025 while speaking at an event on a college campus. In the aftermath, Erika Kirk stepped into leadership as CEO and chairwoman of Turning Point USA, continuing her husband’s mission.

Turning Point USA leaders said Erika is “honored” to be invited by the president and sees the occasion as an opportunity to promote unity and a rejection of political violence at a time of heightened tensions nationwide.
